PASSPORTS AND VISAS:  United States citizens are required to get an Entry visa to Turkey. It is the client's responsibility to make sure they have a valid passport and visa.  Visas with a maximum duration of stay of 90 days can be obtained either at the port of entry or from the accredited Turkish Consulate in your area of residency for $45. No visa is required for American or Canadian citizens going into Greece.

BAGGAGE: Each adult person is allowed 2 piece of luggage (not to exceed 62 inches no more than 70 lbs each) plus 1 carry on that fits under your seat.

RESERVATIONS: For all bookings, $300.00 USD non-refundable deposit is required per person within seven days of reservation. Balance is due 45 days prior to departure. Reservations for less than 45 days will be accepted with full payment. Reservation is not guaranteed until deposit is received by Melodi Travel.  Changing the departure date may be available up to 30 days prior to departure with an additional $100.00 USD per person, plus any charges from the airline may occur.

CANCELLATIONS: There is a $300.00 USD cancellation penalty up to 45 days prior to departure regardless of reason.   Between 45 days to 25 days prior to departure,  there will be a 50% cancellation fee.  There will be no refund made within 24 days prior to departure and/or no show.  No refund will be made for the unused part of the tour. Melodi Travel reserves the right to change itineraries in tours partially or wholly if necessary without prior notice.

INSURANCE: Baggage, Trip Cancellation, Interruptions, Emergency Evacuation, Accident, Medical, Sickness, Flight Insurance are strongly recommended and they are available at Melodi Travel.

PASSENGERS with SPECIAL NEEDS: Tour participants who require any form of assistance must be accompanied by a helper who is capable of, and totally responsible for providing such assistance.

NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR RATE: Excess baggage charges, room service charges, items not on portions of menus reserved for Melodi Travel passengers, laundry, beverages and otherwise, items of a personal nature; airport departure taxes, if air tickets are not purchased through Melodi Travel.

TIPS & TAXES: Prices include tips to hotel and restaurant personal, but do not include tips to tour leaders, guides and drivers.  You do not have to give tips, but it is courteous. We do leave these amounts to your discretion according to the level of service that you receive.

SEQUENCE OF ITINERARY:  In some tours the sequence of events may change from the order described. However, you will receive all the components indicated.

TRANSFERS: Are included as per the itineraries. If you deviate from the set tour schedule, i.e. arrive early or depart later from the designated tour point, or arrive or depart on other than the designated carrier for the tour group, you will need to make your own transfer arrangements since they will not be provided outside of group provisions. However these arrangements can be made through Melodi Travel or its agents at an additional cost.

OMISSIONS: Every effort is made to ensure brochure accuracy at the time of going to press: however Melodi Travel cannot be held responsible for printing, typographical errors, omissions, or errors arising from unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond our control.

TOUR PRICES: Are based on costs and exchange rates as of Jan 28, 2002. Should those costs change, a surcharge may be applied on the tour price. However, you have the right to cancel your reservation without penalty if the cost increase is more than 10% of the published tour price.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Melodi Travel reserves the right to decline, accept or remove any person as a tour passenger at any time prior to departure, in its sole discretion, if  operation of the tour or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other tour passengers is at risk.

AIRLINE CLAUSE: The international air carrier used, is subject to international conventions limiting its liability; the limitations of liability are contained on the reverse side of your airline ticket and form part of the terms and conditions thereof. All prices and fares shown in this brochure are subject to change without notice due to fluctuation in currency exchange rate or for any other reason.

RESPONSIBILITY: Melodi Travel (MT) as the tour operator, is responsible to the participants in making the arrangements for all land services and accommodations constituting the tours as set forth herein, except to the extent such services and accommodations cannot be supplied due to delays, sickness, strikes, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto wars whether declared or not, hostilities, quarantines, terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, riots, theft, filferage, diseases, local laws, medical or customs regulations, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions, or developments, or any other actions, omissions or conditions outside the control of MT. In the event the services and or accommodation described herein cannot be supplied or in the event there is a deviation in the itinerary either prior to departure or during the tour, MT. will use its best effort to supply alternative services and accommodation and the standard cancellation provisions will apply. MT. shall not be liable or responsible for any additional cost or expenses due to disruptions of schedules, rates or services, or for any other reason beyond the control and or the tour operator. Neither MT nor its sub agents shall be held liable for any injury to persons or loss of, or damage or injury to property caused directly or indirectly by reason of any negligence or wrongful act of any transportation company, hotel, or other provider of services and facilities and or its agents and employees or by reason of circumstances including any inconvenience, accident, mishap, expense or delay beyond MT's control. The tour participant waives any claim against MT. or its sub agents for any damage to or loss of property or injury to or deaths of persons due to any act of omission or negligence or delays of any direct carrier, hotel, or other person rendering any of the services and accommodation offered in connection with this tour. MT. reserves the right to cancel a tour prior to its departure. MT. acts only as a tour operator and as such has no control over events that may occur during the course of travel and can assume no responsibility and or liability for any monetary, physical or psychological injuries of any nature whatsoever arising from acts of terrorism, civil strife, disturbances, war, or other upheavals or unrest of whatever kind that occurs during the clients travel and client specifically agrees to indemnify MT. for any actual fees, costs, or similar expenses in connection with defending such claims. MT. can accept no responsibilities for loss or additional expenses to members due to delay or changes in schedule. Tour services included but not limited to guide services, hotel accommodations, meals and other services furnished by third parties who are independent and do not act for or on behalf of MT. and with whom MT. has no relationship as joint venture or otherwise. Therefore MT. shall not be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for any inconvenience, loss, damage or injury arising out of, or in connection with such tour services, whether same shall be the result of changes in hotel accommodations, food, baggage handling, tour guiding or any other matter related thereto. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passengers. Each passenger waives any claim against MT. for any delay, inconvenience or damage, loss of property or baggage or injury to or deaths of persons due to the acts or omissions of said third parties. The prices advertised in these itineraries are subject to change due to price increases resulting from decreases in the purchasing power of the US dollar, gasoline price increases and similar causes. In such case each passenger may be required to pay an additional amount for the trip reflecting such increase.
